We would like to thank those of you who showed up at our fundraiser today near the Academic Succes Center! We appreciate your time and effort :) There are several important upcoming events and we would like to remind you of them.
First, the SHPE-SD Professional Chapter is having their meeting tomorrow Wednesday, February 23rd at Solar Turbines. The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Food and refreshments will be provided. The adress is:

The speaker will be Principal Engineer Mr. Marcelino Favela, who will be speaking about "Gas Compressor Applications". We will be giving a student presentation, along with other local student chapters.
The second upcoming event is the Science and Engineering Day at Granger Middle School. The event will be on March 12th and we need volunteers to be team leaders of about 20 kids or so.
The third upcoming event is the Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) hosted by Los Ingenieros, the SHPE student chapter at UCSB. The last day to register is on March 9th. The cost is $100, including lodging and food. Please let us know if you are interested in attending or know for a a fact that you are going. Our next general meeting will be on Thursday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in Room 201. We will be providing food as well.
